"I Want A Pet Dinosaur" is a musical theater performance produced by The Choir Project in celebration of its sixteenth anniversary.
Since 2010, the Choir Project has been creating its shows collectively, from scriptwriting and music composition all the way to the scenography, and execution. And the creation of this new performance is no exception.
Previous productions of the collective include "Zubaida Behind the Horizon Line" (2024), a show that met wide success.

"عايز اربي ديناصور" عرض مسرحي غنائي يقدّمه «مشروع كورال» في عيده السادس عشر، و على طريقته منذ ٢٠١٠ التي تنتج العروض بشكل جماعي بداية من النص والألحان و إلى السينوغرافيا والتنفيذ. يأتي هذا العرض الجديد بعد عرض «زبيدة خلف خط الأفق»، الذي لاقى نجاحًا واسعًا قبل عامين.

The Choir Project is an open-ended workshop series that invites people from all walks of life to transform their hopes, concerns, feelings, and thoughts into communal song. Through collective improvisation and songwriting, participants create a unique artistic output that documents their shared reality. Since its inception in 2010 in Cairo, the project has traveled across 15+ countries—from Cairo's center to Egypt's villages, the streets of Tunis and the theaters of Berlin to the universities of the United States. This timeline serves as a digital archive of those encounters, documenting the evolution of a 'soul brotherhood' through the power of the collective voice.
مشروع كورال هو سلسلة من ورش العمل المفتوحة التي تدعو الناس من كافة أطياف المجتمع لتحويل آمالهم، وهمومهم، ومشاعرهم، وأفكارهم إلى أغنية جماعية. ومن خلال الارتجال الجماعي وكتابة الأغاني، يبتكر المشاركون منتجاً فنياً فريداً يوثق واقعهم المشترك. منذ انطلاقه في عام 2010 في القاهرة، طاف المشروع أكثر من 15 دولة؛ من وسط القاهرة لقرى مصر و شوارع تونس ومسارح برلين وصولاً إلى جامعات الولايات المتحدة. ويمثل هذا الجدول الزمني أرشيفاً رقمياً لتلك اللقاءات، حيث يوثق تطور "أخوة الروح" من خلال قوة الصوت الجماعي.
